I have decided to post this following the post re Amelia/ Mickey Rosenberg who was my late dad, Alec Amato's first cousin.
It will be 39 years that our darling dad, Alec Amato passed away. This is a classic photo of Raymond Weinberg, my dad and Zack Merdjan , RAZ, on a successful fishing expedition in what was then Rhodesia. His memory lives on in his loved ones . 💙

Our eldest granddaughter making pastelikos. The tradition continues . She makes them with her parents . It skipped a generation as I have never made them by myself . I have added a recipe from Elsie Menasce's cookbook The Sephardi Culinary Tradition.
